The .uz domain auction at domain.uzex.uz: which names go there

Not every dropping .uz domain can simply be registered. After redemption, some names pass to the UZINFOCOM registry and are sold at auction on domain.uzex.uz.

Which names go to auction

Two- and three-character names, and premium names: short dictionary words and other valuable names the registry marks itself. According to the registry FAQ, four-character names go to auction too. Every other name becomes available for ordinary registration after redemption.

How to tell a name is at auction

Its WHOIS status is AUCTION, the registrar is the UZINFOCOM administration and there is no expiration date. The domain's website shows a registry page with the status "Auction". Current lots are listed on cctld.uz/auction, and each lot opens on domain.uzex.uz.

What lots cost

On 2 November 2026 the auction had 31 lots: 23 three-character names starting at 453,000 so‘m and 8 premium names starting at 659,000 so‘m. Prices and rules change, so check the auction site for the current ones.

How bidding works

According to the registry FAQ, each bid must be at least 10% above the previous one, a bid at the end extends the auction by 10 minutes, and the winner pays within 5 working days.

Lots can wait for months

If nobody bids, a name stays at auction for a long time: we see lots that have been there since January 2025.

What Domenbor does

We never bid. We mark names that are likely to go to auction, so you don't wait for them to drop, and we don't take backorders for them. The domain check tells you at once if a name is already at auction.
